“Mixtec Menagerie” 1993, 6' x 6'; sandblast etching, fired enamels on mixed European antique glass.

The final work in the library collection is the children’s library. Mixtec Menagerie is a collection of animal designs in the style of the Mixteca people of Central Mexico. The designs were inspired by a publication of the Mixtec Codex, and though the designs are authentic, certain artistic license had been taken in arrangement. The 6’ x 6’ work is divided into arboreal, terrestrial and water domains. It is executed in European antique glasses.
